Do you have a special wedding anniversary looming on the horizon? Here we have a quick run through of some of the available wedding anniversary roses, or, to be more precise, wedding anniversary rose bushes, as in plants for your garden, not a bouquet of flowers.
There are those roses named for a certain number of years, such as a thirty year Pearl Wedding Anniversary, and those which are more generic. I’ve included some essential information, such as colour, scent and there are links below with planting design inspiration and rose growing tips.
But why roses? Firstly because the rose has been one of the world’s favourite flowers for hundreds of years. And secondly, because roses are also romantic flowers, often given to loved ones on Valentine’s Day and other sentimental occasions.
Lets begin with discovering the themes for various wedding anniversaries and then onto the roses listed in the same order.
| Which Wedding Anniversary | Theme |
| 1st | Paper |
| 2nd | Cotton |
| 10th | Tin |
| 15th | Crystal |
| 20th | China |
| 25th | Silver |
| 30th | Pearl |
| 35th | Coral |
| 40th | Ruby |
| 45th | Sapphire |
| 50th | Golden |
| 60th | Diamond |
| 70th | Platinum |
