Raised Beds and Borders

A selection of wooden raised beds and brick raised beds we have designed, built and planted for clients’ gardens in London, Kent and Surrey.

Some of the raised beds and borders were created as a ‘grow your own vegetables’ area within a larger garden design.

Others were created to give easy maintenance flower gardens in front gardens, rear gardens and on patios.

Oak sleepers are a favourite for wooden raised beds and borders as they’re long lasting. Oak sleepers are wide enough to be used as extra seating whether set on their edge or laid flat. Softwood sleepers need to be laid flat if seating is needed as they are narrower than oak when set on their edge.

Raised beds and borders are useful in gardens where the client may have problems bending down to do the weeding or picking flowers for the house.

And when the raised vegetable bed is empty over the winter, the garden still looks neat, due to the clean lines of this garden structure.
